  • When you are ready to order just go to checkout and the secure payment system.

.
We’ve designed it for you!

As you can see the group home page is colourful – we have designed it that way to get your attention. Just look through the categories until you find one you like.

Then you need to choose how many team members you need. Groups of two or more can be chosen and previewed here (although strictly speaking couples aren’t classed as a group)
We’re showing you the 70s group costumes in a group of three, chock full of Glam Rockers and Disco Divas, but you could have chosen any of the fancy dress themes.

Select your favourite and add it to the group.

Add as many as you like. If you change your mind just delete it by clicking on the red x and then carry on. You won’t get rid of the group member, just the outfit.

When you’ve chosen a few items go to ‘View Photo’. It will pop up and show you a snapshot of your collection. Could this really be your team? Oh yes it could.

You can add an item more than once. In fact sometimes you’ll want all your group members in the same outfit. Build yourself a team of groovy 70s dudes. Hairy chest? What hairy chest?

That’s about it really. You’ll get the hang of it in a jiffy and won’t want to stop.

And... just when you thought it couldn’t get any better it did. Check out these Flewbles we’ve recorded. Sit back while they take you through some of our themed costumes. They are internet recordings of some of our popular buys. There are even some mini videos to enhance the experience! Send this page to your friends, so they can choose their fancy dress.

1970s Fancy Dress Costumes

Looking for a 70s fancy dress costume? It must be party time!

Fashionable styles and riots of colour define these gorgeous clothes. Made from Lycra, cottons and silky materials, this decade gives us a glorious mix of fashions.

Ladies could choose from various dress lengths. Mini, midi and maxi skirts were worn with flowing tops or body hugging halter necks.

Mini dress
Every day psychedelic patterns spill over into our 1970s fancy dress costumes, with printed mini dresses, midi skirts and also mens shirts.

 Abba style costume
Disco Lady costume - Abba style
Playing internationally to millions of people, Abba’s influence on the seventies was immense, and rightly so. The music of this famous group lives on, and the theatre and film production of Mamma Mia definitely  increased its popularity.

Every 70 s night or party will feature Abba’s music, and you’ll certainly fit in well with your disco lady costume, singing and dancing to a rowdy rendition of Dancing Queen or Mamma Mia.  What more could one ask for? (perhaps a cinzano or campari and soda?)

Fever Hippie costume
Hippie costume
This Fever Hippie Flower Power dress is typical of the times. An overflow from the sixties, short skirts and psychedelic patterns were common in the seventies, as was the detailed sleeves.

Wear with a pair of long dangly earrings and platform or wedge shoes. You can really go to town with the make up and hair styles.

Hippies were all about freedom, so you have permission to be as liberal or conventional as you like. Many women cut their hair short as a statement, but long locks flowed too, so lots of choice here.

Glam rock
Probably a good start is to determine how much you want to spend. Outfits vary in price. A pair of flared jeans and black T shirt with a 70’s wig could be a cheaper option than going for a full glam rocker ensemble.

Glam rockers wore clothes to shock us, some of it influenced the high street fashion, but mainly it was reserved for the stage. So if you want to make an entrance, go for a glam rock look, and if there are a few of you, check out the 70 s group fancy dress. You can add glam rockers, hippies and disco girls to your group and then see how they all look as a team.

 Men's Flared trousers
Flared trousers
Men wore flared trousers, in solid colours or floral patterns. In fact the early seventies fashion still showed signs of the flower power hippie clothing of the previous decade.

This Lavender suit includes a mock shirt with waistcoat, the jacket and trousers. Great for disco.

A vital accessory of the cool seventies men’s wardrobe was a pair of black sunglasses; you’ll find these and lots of glam glasses in the accessory section. With all the shiny 70 s fancy dress you’ll need them to minimise the glare!

Fever 70s groovy babe

Fever Groovy Babe
Hot pants, midis, minis and maxis were every day wear for trendy ladies. Midriffs were often left bare and showed off tummies decorated with flowers, moons and other flower power images.

Hot disco divas can wear a tight fitting top with flared trousers and wig. Halter necks were popular for summer, and are worth consideration for a summer 70’s fancy dress.

This Fever groovy babe outfit is a good example. It includes a brightly patterned top and yellow flared trousers. Just what's needed on a hot summer night!

70s Fancy Dress For Men

Choose wisely and your 70s fancy dress costume will make your evening special. Clothes in this decade were glitzy, bold and cool which is exactly how you should feel on the night.

Ladies eat your heart out, because our seventies fancy dress for men is just fabulous, and if you don’t like the flamboyant pimps and glam rockers outfits, check out the suave disco dudes.

Ideas for a mens 70s costume include:

  • Disco suits
  • Frilled Lycra all in ones (mamma mia Pierce Brosnan style)
  • Glam Rockers
  • Pimps
  • Village People
  • Hippy Psychedelic
  • Rocket Man
  • Cop kit

 White mens disco suit
Saturday Night Fever made the three piece suit fashionable, and you will certainly be remembered for wearing this white disco man’s suit.

It has a waistcoat, lined jacket and pair of ample flares. Just add a frilled or silky shirt, to emulate John Travolta. Black seems to be the popular choice, but Travolta sported all kinds of colours and patterns.

Black frilled shirt

Frilled shirt
The seventies man wore his shirts tight, with a couple of buttons undone to show off his hairy chest.  So, if you want to stand out, wear the hairy chest, gold medallion and a 70 s wig.

Disco Dracula Costume
Disco Dracula  - trendy and devilish
A twist on a theme, but still within the boundaries, is the Disco Dracula suit. Made in glorious purples and black it’s a vampires dream.

The shirt, trousers and cape come with cummerbund and pendant, good enough to grace any dance floor. John Travolta would have approved.

Glam rocker
Glam Rock
If you decide on the glam rocker costume, be sure to wear glam make up and a rock style wig to finish it off. No glam rocker would be seen on stage without his full make up.

There are lots of options in the accessory department, including black greasepaint or the well known Snazaroo glitter gel. If you want a few tips for face painting, just check out the brash T Rex, David Bowie and Sweet stage make up. Gorgeous.

Rocket man
Like the idea of being a pop star for the night? The Rocket Man suit is sleek and glam. Elton John’s fame in the 70s was phenomenal and hasn’t diminished.

This classic white suit with trousers and tie just needs a wig and some funky glasses. A good singing voice would help, but isn’t compulsory.

Hippy
Hippie
Drop outs and retro hippies in the early nineteen seventies wore clothing from the previous sixties era. It was something of a protest against unpopular wars and social inequality.  People scoured charity and second hand shops to find an eclectic collection of clothing.

Denim, patches, knits and Native American clothing were all the rage. Hand made jumpers and cardigans were fashionable, one of the more famous pieces being the knitted cardigan from the Starsky and Hutch show, which was also recreated for the 2004 film.

70s rock wig
70s Flare Trousers & Wig
Want to keep it effortless? Simple clothes with a rock wig can have great impact. Team the 70s Flare Trousers with a tight fitting T shirt, and add a wig and glasses. This was a typical look for the cool dude rockers of the day. Rock on!

This era threw style out of the window and concentrated on extremes. So enjoy choosing your costumes; whether you fancy glamour, punks or disco you’ll always get it right.

...And keep everyone happy with our new 70s group fancy dress tool!

Don't forget to check out our group page for lots of ideas for your team or group outfit. You can add as many people as you like to your group and then view the image to see what you will look like on the night. We created this team of five, to give you an idea of what you can preview in this new tool.

Have fun!

Fancy Dress For A Charity Fun Run

It’s that time of year again when we can do something more for our preferred local or international charity. Involve the whole family and make it a day to remember; it teaches the kids the gift of giving to others and they’ll have fun in the process.

Dressing up is always fun, and there is no better time to take advantage of this than on a fund raiser.  Organisations make sure they cater for everyone, so they put on walks and runs to suit every level of fitness, from a children’s one kilometer dog walk to the longer marathons. So there is no excuse for you not to join in.

If you are looking for a theme or ideas of which fancy dress to wear on a charity run or walk, have a look at our suggestions.

Cavemen and Cavewoman – The caveman fancy dress are simple, great fun and easy to wear. You can wear the tunics over warm clothes on wet, chilly days, or as is for summer weather. Watch out for the puddles UGGH.

Fairy - Fairy costumes are popular. In winter you can wear them with leggings and winter weight T shirt to keep you warm. You can add the fairy wings, or just wear the wings with a tutu.

School girl – The short skirts of the schoolgirl costumes are ideal; they won’t hamper you while you run. Use the make up to apply the school girl freckles and add a wig with plaits to add to the fun.

Devil and angel – Great with make up and wings, these fancy dress costumes are classic choices. Devil ears, tails and trident finish them off, and you can wear the whole outfit or just the wings and ears.

Wings – Butterfly wings or angel and fairy wings are easy to wear and very girly. Many walks start at dusk so maybe the black angel wings are more appropriate, and guys – check out the bat wings.

Hats – Hats are a thrifty choice for family fund raisers because they aren’t expensive. They are available for adults and children, so check out the cowboy glitter hat, sailor, captain and sheriff hats. (We love the Buffalo Bill hat)

Ears - Bunny, flashing and cat ears are our favourites, and there is a cat set that includes a sequinned bow tie as well as the ears, looks purrrfect with cat make up and whiskers. Or check out the Fever Wild Cat outfit. It’s sexy and cool to wear.

Tip - If you are still stuck, check out the latest news, films and TV, to get ideas, and check out our film and tv fancy dress. There are many great looking outfits that will suit.

Michael Jackson Fancy Dress Costumes – Thriller, Bad Or Billie Jean?

The 25th June is the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, and maybe you are one of the many people planning a party to pay tribute to this historic performer.

Dressing in Michael Jackson fancy dress and dancing and singing to his music will play a huge part in your festivities. We thought you’d like a look at a couple of the best MJ costumes.

Thriller, Billie Jean and Bad are just some of the top clothes we have to offer, and if you are going with friends, have a look what you will look like as a Michael Jackson group, by visiting our new fancy dress group pages. We have an exciting new tool to help you plan your team’s outfits.

Go to our group fancy dress page and simply click on the MJ image to display our selection of clothes and accessories. You can then click on each individual item to add it to your collection.

To view your choices and see what your team will look like simply click “view group photo”.

You can remove any or all costumes by simply clicking on the outfit or x. So you can change your mind as many times as you like. Each team member can choose their own outfit in their own size.

Billie Jean
The Billie Jean costume includes the jacket, shirt, socks and glove. Add the Fedora to complete the look.  Billie Jean was released on the Thriller album in 1982 and then in 1983 as a single, accompanied by a lovingly remembered video show of Michael lighting up the floor as he dances from one square to another.

Thriller
The Thriller Michael Jackson fancy dress is our favourite. The red jacket and trousers bring back memories of the Thriller music video. It was new and fresh, with exciting music, dance and make up. Many of us rushed out to sign up for the dance classes that sprung up at the time ( a bit like the rush to join the John Travolta style disco dancing lessons in the 70s!) but I have to confess that although we had fun, none of us could really dance.

Bad
This black costume includes jacket trousers, two belts, bracelet, gloves and shoe covers. Released in 1987 the Bad album brought us “I just can’t stop loving you”, “Man in the mirror” and “The way you make me feel”

Looks great with the “bad” wig
.

Visit our website to check out our MJ collection and other exciting fancy dress costumes. You and your friends will also appreciate how our new group ordering tool makes planning easier. If you are organising an MJ get together it is guaranteed to make ordering fun.

Good luck with your celebrations!

Group Fancy Dress - Exciting Ideas

Are you looking for a group fancy dress? We have some great ideas to help you along the way.

Any costume looks fantastic worn by an individual, but team up with a few other people wearing complementary costumes and you have got the WOW factor.

Roman or Greek
This single centurion suddenly turns into a group of bold Roman soldiers, accompanied by their beautiful Roman beauties.

Grease is the word
Grease is a perfect choice for couples or groups. Last scene Danny and Sandy can be worn as a pair, or team it with the Frenchy Beauty School dropout, T Birds and the pink lady Rizzo outfits to suit the group numbers.

Wear the character wig, and the gloriously pink Frenchy wig can be worn with a Pink Lady jacket or the Beauty School dropout dress. We love this wig.

We love the 80s
The 80s gave us pop icons such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Rod Stewart. We love this 80s theme for groups. It doesn’t matter how many people are in your group, you can accommodate everybody. There’s even a Dynasty costume for the soap fans.

Hello Sailor
The military army and sailor uniforms have some gorgeous sexy costumes. The Fever Shipmate cutie uniform goes so well with the Captain costume. Or match the Captain deluxe with the ladies high Seas Captain for a seductive duo.

The army soldier or Fever’s Army Guy costume are well paired with the Fever Combat Chick or Major Trouble outfits.

Moving on to an exciting theme for the men, we have the ninja warriors. The black and red top trousers and hood look pretty menacing when teamed with the sword and scabbard. It doesn’t matter how many ninjas are in the clan, the more the merrier.

We have a great collection of group costumes from which to make your selection. So, if this is something that sparks your interest, have a look at our group fancy dress ideas and exciting new ordering tool.

Tip-
Regardless of age and gender, dressing up as a team creates a marvellous atmosphere and adds to the mood of the party, but go for something that suits all members of your group. Nobody should feel uncomfortable. If you can’t agree on a theme – change it, with so much choice it is easy to satisfy the most challenging people.

have fun!
