- He is believed to have been born in Cappadocia, Turkey in the 3 rd century.
- St George’s day is April 23 rd. This is the day he was presumed to have been beheaded in Lydda, Palestine.
- The St Georges Emblem is a red cross on a white background and is England’s flag, and also shown on the British flag.
